“March for Life”

Every year, from March 1 to 31, the March for Life takes place, with the theme "Building Together for Life." The event is organized in several locations in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

In Cluj-Napoca, the event, organized with the blessing of His Eminence Andrei, Archbishop and Metropolitan of Cluj, reached its 14th edition this year and took place in Avram Iancu Square, on the plateau in front of the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God.

Fourteen organizations came together to organize this year's march: the Parish of St. John the Apostle and Evangelist in Cluj-Napoca, the "Împreună" Civic Platform – Cluj branch, ASCOR Cluj, ATCOR Cluj, the Cluj Student League, the "NeamUnit" Association in Cluj, the "Mama și Copilul" Association, the Romanian Association "Focul Viu," the Association "Society of Orthodox Women of the Archdiocese of Vad, Feleac, and Cluj," the Christian Organization "Agape," Orthodox Social-Missionary-Cultural Association for Roma "Saint Moses the Arab," Association "Friends of the Student Church," Association "Army of the Lord" Cluj-Napoca, Association "Ruga," and Philanthropic Association "Saint Onuphrius."

The event partners were: the Metropolis of Cluj, Maramureș, and Sălaj, Radio Renașterea, and Creator TV.

The charity conference on Saturday, November 22, "Altruism and Empathy," was a remarkable event that opened new horizons of knowledge and personal introspection. Prof. Mircea Miclea, PhD, and Archdeacon Adrian Sorin Mihalache, PhD, addressed the topic from complementary perspectives—neuroscience, psychology, and references to faith. Questions from the audience sparked a lively discussion, and many participants left with a new perspective on solidarity, generosity, and responsibility toward others. All proceeds were donated to the "Sfântul Hristofor" Pediatric Palliative Care Center in Sânnicoara. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
