Lunch of Generations
The event "Lunch of Generations" took place on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the partnership between the Evangelical Lutheran Diocese of Württemberg and the Archdiocese of Vad, Feleac, and Cluj.
Day 1: Generations Lunch and Visits to Beneficiaries
On the first day, a lunch was organized, attended by:
- Petur Thorsteinsson, Director General of the Württemberg State Office Hope for Eastern Europe
- Dr. Maria Gotzen-Dold, pastor at DiMOE Reutlingen
- Hans-Joachim Janus, Advisor to the Church i.R.
- Seniors in our program
- Volunteers and the team of the Orthodox Women's Society
During this festive lunch, the association's team received an award of appreciation for their work to date in helping people in difficult life situations. After lunch, visits were made to the beneficiaries' homes, where issues related to the problems they face were discussed. The visit continued at the Holy Trinity Church, where the association's spiritual advisor, Father Florin Ghiț, showed the guests the oldest church in Cluj-Napoca and the charity projects carried out within this parish.
Day 2: Discussions and Visits to Beneficiaries
The second day began with a discussion at the association's headquarters, followed by visits to other beneficiaries to monitor their socio-economic situation and how they are coping. This visit was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our partnership and strengthen the ties between our communities. We are delighted to have been able to share this experience and look forward to future activities within our collaboration.
