Say "NO" to strangers
On September 10, we organized an informative seminar on fraud prevention at the Octavian Goga County Library in Mărăști, in the Art section on the 5th floor. The seminar was aimed at elderly people, who make up the majority of our beneficiaries, but not exclusively.
This seminar was organized in partnership with the Cluj County Police Inspectorate, and the theme of the presentation was "Preventing the victimization of vulnerable persons." There was extensive discussion, with video examples, about preventing thefts from homes, yards, and apartment buildings, thefts from public transportation, thefts on the street or in public places, and preventing scams (using the "Accident" method, the "Scam" method, the "Courier" method, the "Meter" method, the "Alms" method, the "Pest Control" method, the "Holiday Packages" method, and others).
The information received was very valuable and, we hope, useful for each participant, applicable in everyday life. We want to organize such information seminars periodically, to meet the needs of our beneficiaries and help them correctly manage certain situations that are potentially dangerous for them and their loved ones.
